Mothers, Memories, and Matrimony: The Real Wedding Story of Lauren and Scott McMullen

Similar to embroidery on a wedding dress, a mother/daughter bond is beautiful, delicate, and highly unique. Even in the heart of a pandemic, The McMullen's found a way to thread love into every aspect of their special day- and of course that included mom.
Bride Lauren McMullen (previously Lauren Walsh) was excited to repurpose her mother's wedding gown into her Getting Ready Robe. Lauren was able to wear this special robe while getting her hair and makeup done on the morning of the big day.
But Lauren's mom Valerie had some tricks up her sleeve! When the final design of the robe was revealed to Lauren at her bridal shower, Valerie surprised her with a few additional heirlooms made from her dress. A bouquet wrap featuring a bow from Val's train became the perfect finishing touch for the bride's coral bouquet. And a Cake Table Skirt added a sentimental, pretty touch to the venue's décor.

"When I opened the gift I felt very special and knew these items would make my wedding day that much more special and meaningful" said Lauren.

"Special and meaningful" definitely described Lauren and Scott's wedding. The day struck a balance between sentimental and fun as the guests celebrated the relationship between the happy couple.

Lauren's advice for other couples planning a wedding during the pandemic?
Remember the big picture! "The whole reason you're planning the wedding is because you and your future spouse are ready to get married," she said. "At the end of the day you're starting your life together - and that in itself is beautiful."

"Unbox the Dress is the best most unique business I’ve ever heard of! I have and will still 100% recommend this company to all the brides-to-be that I know!” Lauren expressed.

We're wishing many years of bridal bliss for Lauren and Scott!
