1. How Does a Save the Dress Membership Protect My Wedding Dress Fabric?

When storing your wedding dress, our team uses “white glove” care and industry-best preservation materials. Your dress fabric will be housed in our climate controlled and secure storage facility protecting your dress from potential sun damage, dust, mold, mildew, pests, water damage, and general yellowing.

2. I never cleaned my dress after my wedding. Should I have it dry cleaned?

Before entering a dress into storage, it is a requirement that the dress be properly cleaned to prevent mold, mildew, or long-term damage. Our team is proud to provide eco-friendly wedding dress cleaning and preservation services to restore your dress to its original beauty before it is entered into storage.

2. How will my Wedding Dress Fabric be Stored?

Wedding gowns are stored hanging in muslin garment bags with acid-free tissue paper and special, padded hangers. During the preparation of your dress for storage, removable supportive straps are added dresses that need additional hanging support. This method is used by museum conservators for archival garment care across the country. Learn more about the benefits of hanging storage here

For partial dress storage, depending on the amount of wedding dress fabric you have remaining, your dress with either be stored in a muslin-garment bag or a non-sealed archival box. These museum-quality materials will be packed with acid-free tissue to prevent yellowing.

3. Can I also Store my Bridal Accessories?

The storing of any veil, headpiece, slip or bridal accessories is included in your Save the Dress subscription!

4. When I'm ready to Create Additional Heirloom Products from my fabric, what do I do?

Once your membership is active, you can start the dress redesign process at any time free of charge. Simply let our team know and we will start the fun, exciting process with you! Your wedding dress or remaining fabric can also be returned to you at any time for the cost of shipping.

5. How do I cancel my membership? What will happen to my fabric?

Save the Dress memberships are billed annually. You will be notified 30 days prior to your annual billing and can cancel your membership without penalty at that time. If you’d like to cancel during the year, a $40 processing fee will apply. Your dress will be returned to your address of choice for the cost of shipping, or you can donate your dress to our team.
